What a difference a little sheetrock makes ...

With the inspection over it is now time to start closing up the walls.  First Kirk put insulation in the outer walls and in the ceiling under the eaves.

Maybe the house will finally be warm after this.

Just about done

Once the insulation was in place they could start sheetrocking.

Device for lifting sheetrock up to the ceiling -- much  appreciated by Joe and Kirk.

Sheetrock lifted into place. No more trying to balance a 4 by 8 piece of sheetrock on their heads .. while trying to figure out where to cut all the holes.

Nobody uses nails any more!

How the lights in the ceiling look after sheetrocking -- the holes aren't quite so obvious.

By the end of the day the room was beginning to look pretty good ... however, you can see what happens when you make the ceiling 8' 2" rather than a standard 8'. I'm sure they'll do something about the two inch gap.

Wall almost completely sheetrocked.

Another View

By tomorrow night the room should be all closed up and we'll have a much better idea of what the space will really be like.
